I would like to suggest a Icy Lodestone Collector in POST SEARING Prophecies Campaign any where in the southern shiverpeaks would be decent, Droknars Forge would be a nice spot.

The reason for suggesting this is that after the Cathan New Years update the Level 24 Siege Ice Golems were modified to drop Icy Lodestones instead of Stone Summit Badges this was done so we all could help Imperial Chef Tian complete his dish. After the event ended all Level 24 Siege Ice Golems continued to drop Icy Lodestones. Since it is a collectable item I went to wiki to see if there was a collector. The only collector I can find listed is in PRE SEARING ascalon:

Now 2 months later it looks like the Level 24 Siege Ice Golems are not going to have thier old drop restored any time soon. A nice addition would be a new collector. This would make a better reward for killing a level 24 creature, not a just collectable item valued at 3GP that you can only trade for tutorial level piece of armor and ONLY if you figured out a way to return to Pre Searing to trade it with Savich.

I cannot find a creature of that LEVEL with a worse collectable drop.

While the easy answer to this is to just sell the icy lodestones, keep in mind what these creature used to drop the most of:

Stone Summit Badges valued at 8 GP (250 of them were 2K) (250 of the lodestones are 750 GP)

At least he has some decent items to trade for.

Also during the Wintersday events you could trade Stone Summit Badges for Candy Canes, fruit cakes, snowman summoners and the like.

Another suggestion would be to restore the Golems to thier previous drop, however Icy Lodestones makes sense as a drop for an ice creature, better than the badge did. The stones just need to have their value tweaked and a collector added.

I never thought that the Badges were a good collectable drop for the LVL 24 Golems in the first place, even more so when comparing them to other campaigns drop from creatures of similar level and difficulty, but at least they had the redeeming quality of being useful in few ways. And from time to time people would buy them in large quantities around wintersday.

I was really hoping that this latest update would address this deficiency(new storage rocks!) but it still needs to be addressed. I really hope someone at ANET see this and takes it for consideration. While not being an earth shattering issue there is nothing worse than killing a high level group of 4-8 creatures to have your efforts rewarded with 4 Icy lodestones worth a pitiful 12GP.

I fully understand that there are other creatures to get stone summit badges from and yes I get more money farming the underworld and tomb of primeval kings. This usually is most glaring to me when a special weekend occurs and something collectable has been added like the chocolate bunnies and golden eggs. My favorite collecting spot is southern shiverpeaks. Well this is my two cents, I have to say I love playing guild wars and will continue to do so even if this never get changed, but it sure would be a nice touch.

make it for some new weapons though, we have enough armor/collectors.

Slightly off topic, i would love to see some new ice based weaponry. the IDS is nice and all but wand or staff made of ice (crystal look) would be pretty. Maybe thats where are the icy lodestones are going, to make new ice weapons.

Well... being a 3g dolp, it should:
1. Drop much more at the same time, that is, be a drop than can be droped in packs of 3 from an Ice Golem and packs of 6..9 from bosses.

Add 2 collectors for them, one that ask for 15 of them in Northern Shiverpeaks, and one that asks for 25 of them in Southern.

That should do the thing.
